Just about every vid of MOFO racing hes granny shifting the 1-2 hard...i think its more for traction reasons cuz his 2-3 and 3-4 is a lot faster. The shock load from the 1-2 prolly unloads the tires in his car so he just shifts slower so it doesnt spin.

It makes sense. But dame he loses a ton of ground like that.
